Anna Jameson was a British writer and feminist who lived in Parkdale during the winter of 1836-37. Her husband, who she separated from, was the Attorney General of Upper Canada. While she was here she wrote a diary, "Winter Studies and Summer Rambles in Canada", about her experiences. You can read more about her HERE and HERE. |
